Job Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer (Specialist, Platform Development), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining B2B backend services and being comfortable with various programming languages, frameworks, libraries, application and system design, and documentation. You will be in the exciting position to work with an ambitious team of Product Owners, Data Engineers, and DevOps, and to be part of an ambitious team building and continuously improving first-in-market products.

Job Responsibilities*

• Define the technical designs and solutions which meet functional and non-functional requirements, including quality, security, and performance, within a committed timeline.
• Manage the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software applications, including code development and component test execution to demonstrate alignment to the functional specification.
• Propose solutions to complex problems that are in keeping with the existing system architecture.
• Provide estimates for tasks, including design, development and testing.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver product features, optimizations and bug fixes by  working closely with product owners, project managers, data engineers, and DevOps engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience developing client/server applications.
• Proficiency in Java, Golang, Python, or similar technologies.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, BigQuery, SQL, and database optimization.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, CI/CD, TDD, unit testing, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Comfortable working with Linux, command-line tools, and shell scripting.
• Understanding of Agile/SCRUM and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• Experience conducting code reviews and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design, and architecture patterns.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and create clear documentation.
• Ability to work with both legacy and open-source codebases with a collaborative, improvement-focused mindset.
• Eagerness to learn business domains and understand organizational needs.
• Nice to Have: Experience with microservices, large-scale data processing, and data engineering concepts/tools.
