Job Summary
This role will lead the development and execution of supplier safety strategies, ensuring subcontractors across all tiers comply with the company’s safety standards, ESG requirements, and audit expectations. as well as playing a key part in driving systemic improvements, reducing operational risks, and supporting corporate sustainability goals.
Job Responsibilities*
Safety Governance & Compliance
- Develop and lead the company’s supplier safety governance framework.
- Define and enforce safety requirements in supplier qualification, contracts, and work execution.
- Oversee training standards, supplier onboarding protocols, and field competency assessments for high-risk subcontractors.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Manage routine reporting of supplier safety performance, including daily, monthly, and quarterly updates (e.g., accident dashboard, training progress, inspection results).
- Provide executive-level reporting and support ESG improvement, and external assurance efforts.
Coordination & ESG Integration
- Coordinate with Group-level Safety and Sustainability teams on ESG and DJSI dashboards.
- Ensure alignment with corporate ESG goals focusing on Human Right, Safety, Environment
Audit & Inspection
- Lead ESG audits and onsite inspections of suppliers across all regions.
- Analyze trends and ensure timely corrective actions and follow-ups.
Training & Capability Building
- Serve as an internal trainer for subcontractors and field teams on:
- Electrical Safety
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA)/ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- KYT (Kiken Yochi Training)
- Working at Height
Digitalization & Innovation
- Drive digitalization and real-time monitoring systems (e.g., worker qualification verification).
- Collaborate with senior leaders in Procurement, HSS, Operations, and Legal to align policy and enforcement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety -professional level, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in contractor management, safety governance, or supply chain sustainability, preferably within the telco-tech or related industries.
- Strong understanding of ISO 45001, ESG frameworks, contractor risk management, and audit methodologies.
- Proven leadership in cross-functional projects or safety transformation initiatives.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and data analysis skills.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience in Electrical safety training delivery is a strong advantage.
