Job Summary

Media & Social Planner is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing media plans & social media plan for assigned business units. The role ensures that all campaigns are strategically aligned with business priorities, brand direction, and channel best practices. This person collaborates closely with product teams, BrandCom team, agency partners, and analytics to deliver high-quality, data-informed media work.

Job Responsibilities*

Media & Social media Strategy & Planning

  • Develop media & social media plans aligned with BU objectives.
  • Recommend channel mix across digital, offline, and non-traditional formats.
  • Recommend of Social media plan and content plan and execution

Campaign Execution & Optimization

  • Manage campaign setup with the agency.
  • Optimize based on weekly performance signals.

KOL / Creator Media Integration

  • Incorporate KOL/creator as part of the media & social media strategy (e.g., creator seeding, creator amplification, paid creator placements).
  • Evaluate and recommend creators/KOLs based on audience relevance, performance data, platform strengths, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure KOL deliverables integrate with media plans to maximize campaign effectiveness.

Innovative Media & Non-Traditional Channels

  • Explore and recommend innovative media opportunities beyond traditional channels, including emerging platforms, new ad formats, retail media, DOOH, branded content, creator-led executions, and partnership-led placements.
  • Pilot test-and-learn initiatives that help elevate True’s media maturity and unlock new growth opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with product owners, brand leads, and commercial teams to ensure accurate brief alignment.
  • Work closely with social, performance, and analytics teams to drive integrated execution.

Reporting & Insights

  • Consolidate learnings and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Evaluate the performance of innovative media formats and KOL activations.

Budget Oversight & Integration

  • Oversee budgets through strategic allocation, cost control, and ROI tracking, while fostering synergy and integration across internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in media & Social media planning
  • Strong understanding of digital media channels (Meta, Google, TikTok, Programmatic).
  • Innovative, creative, and can-do mindset.
  • Analytical mindset with basic ability to read reports and identify insights.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management skill and able to handle multi campaigns within tight timeline.
  • Experience in telco, FMCG, or performance-driven industries is a plus.
