Job Summary

Data Scientist will be responsible for developing and delivering the analytical models, statistical models or machine learning to identify business opportunities or resolve business challenges. You will work closely with business (such as marketing, sales, product team etc.), data engineer, or BI to shape the data science products and solutions.

Job Responsibilities*

  • Strategic design in applying advanced analytics in business by using design thinking methodologies, insights derived from AI/ML, advanced modeling and establish execution plan and alignment with key stakeholders
  • Generate initiatives/or new analytical ideas to enable new business opportunities
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of advanced model initiative/design to development, agreed quality and business target agreement
  • Attract a working team to generate useful learning and insights from applying advanced analytics & modeling to drive and improve execution performance
  • Perform large-scale data analysis and develop effective machine learning or statistical models, segmentation, classification, pattern recognition, optimization, etc. on large and complex data sets
  • Develop, build and test statistical and computational models that serve as a key input for real-time contextual marketing tools
  • Communicate findings and build buy-in with key stakeholders through data visualizations
  • Interact and collaborate with product and marketing managers to provide impactful analysis and insights that align with business objectives
  • Work closely with other BI functions and campaign operations to provide end-to-end analytical solutions and proactively create and test decision rules for marketing campaigns

Qualifications

  • M.S./Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, data science, computer engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches
  • Excellent understanding of fundamentals of statistics
  • Strong experimental design and analysis skills
  • Strong machine learning and deep learning techniques
  • Work experience in natural language processing (NLP) is a plus
  • Ability to manipulate and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis in a clear, simple, and actionable manner
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases and analysis tool such as Python, R, SAS, SPSS or Matlab
  • Experience in Telecom industry is an advantage
  • Experience analyzing data from 3rd party providers: Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Adwords etc. is an advantage
  • Good command of English
