Job Summary
The Head of Partnerships & Product Development is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving business growth through the development of high‑impact partnerships, new business initiatives, and a strong product portfolio. The role leads the identification, negotiation, and management of strategic alliances with global, regional, and local partners, including go‑to‑market collaborations, joint ventures, and M&A opportunities.
In addition, the role defines the strategic direction for new business lines by analyzing market trends and developing robust business cases to ensure long‑term sustainability and profitability. As the product and portfolio leader, this role oversees the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, guiding a team of Product Owners to deliver innovative solutions from concept and development through successful launch and handover.
Job Responsibilities*
1. Partnership & Ecosystem Development
- Identify, originate, and build a robust pipeline of strategic partners across global, regional, and local ecosystems.
- Lead the full partnership lifecycle end‑to‑end, including initial outreach, value proposition development, commercial and legal negotiations, deal structuring, and successful closure.
- Establish and maintain long‑term, trust‑based relationships with C‑suite executives and senior stakeholders within partner organizations.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for deeper strategic collaboration, including go‑to‑market alliances, joint ventures (JV), strategic investments, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A).
2. Product Development & Portfolio Management
- Define, own, and continuously evolve the strategic product and solution portfolio roadmap, ensuring alignment with global commercial objectives and the company’s long‑term ambition to be a trusted solution partner.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of Product Owners, fostering strong product leadership, accountability, and execution excellence.
- Embed an agile, customer‑centric product development culture across the organization, overseeing product vision, roadmaps, sprint execution, and release planning.
- Drive strong cross‑functional collaboration with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product development and market launch.
- Own the end‑to‑end customer experience for new products and solutions—from market awareness and onboarding to active usage and early lifecycle support—prior to structured handover to commercial and sales teams for scaled rollout.
3. Business Strategy & Development
- Continuously monitor global market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to generate actionable insights and inform strategic decision‑making.
- Lead and oversee commercial, operational, and financial due diligence for potential partnerships, joint ventures, investments, and acquisitions.
- Collaborate with finance and commercial leadership to develop robust business cases, investment proposals, and profitability models for all new initiatives and ventures.
- Act as the Business Unit’s Strategic PMO and Commercial PMO, ensuring disciplined governance, alignment to strategic objectives, and effective tracking of initiatives, milestones, risks, and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in strategic business development, corporate strategy, or partnership management roles within the ICT, software, or technology‑driven industries.
- Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and successfully launching complex strategic partnerships, preferably with leading international technology companies.
- Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of product portfolio management, business case development, and key profitability drivers
- .Experience leading and managing Product Owners or product management teams; hands‑on familiarity with agile development methodologies is highly preferred.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, relationship‑building, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior executives and cross‑functional leaders both internally and externally.
- Strategic and innovative mindset, with the ability to translate market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies into concrete business opportunities.
- Experience or domain knowledge in Cloud, Cybersecurity, or Artificial Intelligence (AI) is considered a significant advantage.
- Prior exposure to joint ventures (JV), strategic investments, or mergers & acquisitions (M&A) processes is a plus.
